in all circumstances

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

i could list hundreds of things that i am thankful for...for everything from the obvious, my precious husband & children... to the decadent, ben & jerry's new york super fudge chunk chocolate ice cream. God has done & given immeasurably more than i could ask or imagine. my life is full. yet how often do i truly give thanks?

further, how often do i give thanks "in all circumstances"?
