we went to a mom & pop barber shop last week so sweet davis could get a hair cut. my first question as i opened the door was, "do you take babies?"
Yes we do.
"do you take screaming babies?"
they laughed as if i was kidding.
when it wasn't looking promising for him to sit by himself, they allowed him to sit on my lap. ryan offered more than once to trade with me. i should have known that meant i was a pretty wimpy substitute for a straight jacket. turns out ryan was much more successful at strong-arming him. the most pitiful part was davis yelling out, "all done. all done". a special thanks to the wonderfully patient old men in the barber shop who gave warm smiles instead of hard stares.

my poor nephew does the same thing every time he gets his hair cut. sadly for him, he's had to get his hair cut regularly since he was 3 months old.
