multitude monday (belated)

just yesterday i thought...

it's monday. oh, monday. the last monday before christmas break, monday. a much too busy monday...

there are presents to buy, errands to run, cookies to bake, gifts to make...
i'm much too busy.

and then...
that still, small voice

too busy to give thanks?

so i silence the noise
stop the frantic running
the list making

and i count His graces...
because there is always enough time to count

Lord, make me willing.
grow in me a grateful heart.

0101... for sticker art

0102- 0103... enjoying hayrides & christmas lights with friends

0104... baking christmas cookies

0105... our beautifully mirrored advent calendar...
even if it is numbered 6,7,8,14,10,11,12,13,19,15...
(yep, take a looky)

0106...a visit from dear friends, micah & michelle.
they are missionaries, home for their first furlow in 4 years.
we enjoyed exploring some of our old stomping grounds at Texas A&M...
the booty (halbouty), sweets (sweet eugines), the pershing house & more!

the greeting crew

0107...making new friends

0108...and developing new crushes

0109...for pink princess wands

0110...piling sticky children into sudsy tubs

0111...that neither time, nor distance can tarnish certain friendships

0112...for davis's prayer ...

God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.

repeat 10 more times.

this is especially funny if you know little man's neurotic tendencies.

which leads me to 0113...
buried faces into praying palms in an effort to restrain laughter

0114...that children are not as simple minded as we might think

translation for all who read/ write above a 3rd grade level...

Christmas is not all about candy canes, presents or santa.
It is about the little baby that was born, Jesus.
Without him there won’t be any Christmas.
Some people say he came down from up above to die for us.
He is the King of all kings.

from the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise. (Psalm 8.2)

have you started counting yet?

holy experience

  1. Oh, that little ("litel") letter just gave me shivers. They really do KNOW, don't they?

Yesterday, Ava asked me who the Lord was. When I tried to give her an answer her, she just looked at me and yelled, "Baby Jesus is Lord!"

    Amen, girl.:)

  4. Sweet post.
Merry Christmas to your precious family! :o)
Also, this is totally random, but I was wondering how easy it would be to remove those little doors on your calendar? If you're able to do it fairly easily, you could just switch out the 14 and first 19, then black out the 1 and you'd be good to go! :o)
