current events
it's hard to believe the babies are just shy of 8 months old. in the last month they've really enjoyed interacting with one another. berkley thinks davis is especially funny. she laughs at just about anything these days. davis is working on getting his top two teeth in, so there hasn't been much to laugh about. he also had his first ear infection last week. as a result, he's enjoyed lots of cuddling. he is still our peanut, weighing barely 15 pounds. i'm guessing berk is over 17 pounds now. she is talking, laughing, and growling all the time. yep, you read it right. she literally growled at the pediatrician the other day! she is fascinated by her new sounds and experiments with them often. her favorite "words" are "ma ma ma ma ma" & "ba ba ba ba". davis is saying "da da da da da" and lights up when he sees ryan walk in the room. we look forward to them associating meaning to these new sounds one day. this month has been one of our favorites, although i'm sure we will say that again & again as they grow. we are so grateful for davis & berkley. they are delightful, well-rested (still sleeping 12 hours a night with 2 naps a day), and oh-so funny! having twins really is twice the fun.

I would probably say that ages 8 months through 10 months were my favorite baby ages with both my girls. The sleeping is so much better, the eating is so much better, and their personalities really start shining. They can do some for themselves, but not too much. It is a great couple of months! Enjoy :)
ReplyDeletei laughed out loud when i read that your sweet girl growls. my niece does the same thing! and, i think she started when she was about Berk's age. i have no idea how she started, she just did one day and now we do it with her all the time. my mom can really get her going. keep the stories and updates coming. i LOVE reading them...and looking at the pictures

And Davis is a little peanut, I'm pretty sure my chunky monkey Drew outweighs him!!
